This blog post is for myself. I am setting goals for this day, and I am posting them here to force me to be accountable to myself.

Today is the halfway point in NaNoWriMo. The halfway point in days. If I were to be halfway done with the goal of writing 50K words, I would be at 25K today. I am far from it. I don't even have 5K done yet.

I need Christmas money. I don't go into debt for Christmas, so if I don't make the money, I don't get to shop. I need to write some articles that I can actually get upfront money for. For the next two weeks, I really need to push out those articles.

So here are my goals for today, Thursday, November 15:

1. Get to 7500 words on my NaNoWriMo novel.

2. Submit 3 articles for upfront payment.

3. Make that layaway payment at Kmart today (lol)

4. Don't forget to eat.

5. Go to bed before midnight so I can do it all again tomorrow.

This post is much more for myself, than others. I figure if I put my goals out there, I will be accountable to them.

So here we go:

1. Have one article bypass my August successful article in page views: "BB8 Game's Integrity in Jeopardy" http://www.writernia.com/node/1012
This article currently has 1085 page views.

I think I can achieve this goal, and my September article: "BB8 - Fast Forward Aftermath"
http://www.writernia.com/node/1161
is catching up quick with 710 page views.

2. Finish the articles I've committed to writing for the event I am coordinating.

3. Have 100 unique visitors on my new online blog: "Lovelace Way" www.lovelaceway.blogspot.com

I know that's not much, but you have to start somewhere.

4. Have 50 unique visitors on my new online puzzle site: "Illogical Pursuits" www.illogicalpursuits.blogspot.com

I know it is silly, but I have just met one of my goals on this website.

You all will laugh when I tell you what it is..

Before they change the points back down to zero again, I wanted to have more points than either of the two people who are running this website.. Lars and Stephanie.

It was tough trying to catch up with Stephanie, but her vacation allowed me that opportunity.

But I'm now third in points after two people who I'd only be able to bypass if their computers crashed..lol!

I have a sales and marketing background.. so setting goals is something I do as a matter of living. Sometimes they are real solid goals, and other times they are just to amuse myself. This was one that was for pure amusement.
