Excalibur enter the RV only to find that it occupant was still a sleep which was a good thing since she was running late.
Now if he just remained a sleep until the coffee was made he would never have to know about her latness and she wouldn't run risk of losing her job she needed this job she liked this job and she was good at and that was all that mattered.
Not that Pete would fire her after all with out her he would be lost just the way he had been before he stumbled across her that day in the mall.
When he needed her the most there she was willing to lose her only source of income inorder to help him she had lost a job that she didn't really like and gained on she did a long with a nice tidy sum of cash that had not been counted toward her first pay check it was a bonus.
Not that she didn't earn it.....
She earned about two of her paychecks from her other job in one after noon and she didn't need to wait two bloody weeks to collect it.
All she did was answer a book full of questions on Spiritualty and made twenty bucks for each question right of course she didn't get all the questions right but she got more then half of them right.
Which blew Pete away another thing that blew him away was the fact that she had a diploma in the field that he worked in and he needed an asistant any way and since she was already trained and spending the afternoon together showed him that they had the perfect work chemistry he knew that he had to hire her on the spot.
Which was good since she had failed to show up at her old job and she had failed to call in because she had been so caught up in helping Pete that time just flew by and she had been left with out a job not that she was complaining since she hated her job any way the only reason she hadn't quit before then was because she had no other source of income and a gal had to make the rent.
But even now that her life had looked bleak and all she had was an purse full of cash that would have to last her until she found another job which didn't take so long since not only did he give her the money but he also through in the job which she accepted on the stop not only because she had been disparate but because she had found her dream job.
A job that would allow her to use her unusually talents that she had to keep hidden for so long.
She was going to be a paranormal investigator which had been her dream job every since she heard about it.
She had a diploma in it but it was a hard field to get into since no one wanted to admit that the supernatural existed.
Running into Pete had been destiney and she was not one to question destiny.
She couldn't wait to see the ins and outs of the business that she had joined so willingly and quickly with out taking time to think things through.
At first she was disappointed when she discovered that the office she was going to be working out of was just an RV setup in a churches parking lot.
Which she did find funny.
But when she saw the toys that she would get to play with and all the neat books,jewelry,weapons that she got to handle she knew that she had done the right thing.
And the work he assigned her was just fascinating on her first day on the job not only did she answer questions she got to category some of those neat books,jewelry and weapons her job had been to label document and then take pictures of the objects so that the one's which were safe enough to release to the public was put on e-bay will the dangerous items were repacked and put into storage.
Excalibur stayed late into the night doing that assignment not that she had to have it finished right that minute.
It was just that she found it so interesting that she just couldn't quit until the job was done and done to the best of her ability it wasn't like her old job that she couldn't wait to leave even if her work hadn't been completed. And she didn't even want to go to work in the first place because it was a really crappy job not only was it crappy but it was boring and extremely stressful this new job wasn't so after she left she was counting the hours until she could go back.
Part II
Pete had to practicly through her out the RV and told her that he didn't want to see her again for 8 hours or longer if she returned before then she would be out of a job.
After all there were labour laws and no she couldn't do some of the work on her spare time with out pay.
He didn't want to go to jail.
And there was more to life then work even if the work was interseting.....
It would still be there the next day and the next pretty soon it would just become something one did to survive.
He sighed it was good to have some one that enjoyed her work as much as he did......
It was just scary seeing some one else that into her job. She was the female version of himself looking at her was like looking into a mirror.
