Eric and Jessica finally talk about their showmance and where they stand - as they lay in bed together.

The conversation begins with Eric telling Jessica that he was "probably the last out of fourteen people..who would come here and have anything on my mind but the game" He goes on to discuss his ex-girlfriend who he has had an on-again/off-again relationship. He knows he is hurting this girl by his actions in the house with Jessica. He goes on to explain in detail his relationship with his ex. Producers block part of the conversation when Eric is telling Jessica what his ex did that hurt him the most.

Jessica thinks whatever Eric had told her was very sweet. Jessica tells Eric how she honestly feels about what he has told her about that relationship with his ex. Jessica tells Eric that if she had met him outside of the house, she would not have gotten close to him because of all the history with that girl. Eric explains to Jessica that because of the pain he felt over his ex cheating on him, he would never do that to someone else.

The conversation continues as Eric talks about how difficult the show must be for his ex to watch. He tries to put himself in other people's shoes and consider their feelings. Eric clarifies to Jessica: "I am not in a relationship. She is not my girlfriend. And I am free to do as I want." He tells Jessica that she deserves the respect of him clarifying things for her. It is so sweet how he round-about tells Jessica that he can't help his feelings for her.

Eric talks about how weird it is to live with someone you have feelings for and be in a house with other people around. They talk about how the other Houseguests will react to their relationship together. As Eric says: "Whether we wanted to or not" Jessica throws in: "We're in love." But that was not what Eric was going to say, but Jessica insists it was what he was thinking. He agrees that it's true in his way or saying things without actually speaking it aloud. Eric turns the talk towards game strategy.
