Inspiration is available to us when we look for it. I have noticed that spiritual people are more interested in an “energy” or “vigor” boost than those outside of this category. I am always looking in all directions for inspiration, something that makes me want to live life more fully and more completely. I am not always willing to experience things, and that is one quality that I do not admire in myself. But, when I see someone succeed and accomplish his goals in the face all of those barriers, I smile and feel relief come over me and I think, “if he could do it, so can I.” But what if it were the other way around?
Here is a short essay I wrote in college on Hispanic life which shares some of my thoughts.
The Mexican Americans of this country have a history that reveals some of their struggles throughout the 19th and early 20th century. There have been past speculations about the Hispanic culture, that have lead to a misunderstanding on how they have effected the Southwest region of the United States. California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas have all been influenced by Mexican American labor.
You assume that being in the 21st century in the year 2005 that such things as racial profiling, drug operations, and urban poverty would be scenarios of the past. Unfortunately, having those assumptions in the United States of America makes you a naïve citizen. How real is it that a minority can experience turbulence just for being a minority? These are questions that need to be answered and situations that need to be confronted. What connections can be made between racial profiling, the war on drugs, and urban poverty?
Illegal drugs are rampant throughout the country. With drugs like Marijuana, ecstasy, LSD, and other hallucinogens, greater disturbances and problems are caused throughout the entire country. Illegal drugs are not the only drugs that are in abuse. Pharmaceutical companies are not afraid to promote an advertise drugs that can also cause suicide, such as all of the anti-depressant drugs that are on the market.
I am on my way toward establishing myself as a successful businessman. What are the things that I should do to maintain success? If you are an independent business owner with more than 5 years experience and a relatively viable organization, please share what you are doing to keep it that way.
Where did you get your start-up capital?
What is the most important step in starting a business?
Those are just a couple of questions I thought of.
Looking forward to your replies.
